Why not offer a Kinectless version of Xbox One for $425? I'd buy one today.

After looking at a few "breakdown" websites, I was just pointing out that the Kinect costs Microsoft $75 to manufacture. Why not sell a Kinectless version for $75 less and appeal to a wider audience? I mean really, there is talk about a "non blu-ray" version
for less, why not a Kinectless version. I don't not want to talk to my XBOX or jump around my living room. Why "force" consumers to buy a peripheral?

 

When did they come to your house? What sort of gun did they hold to your head? I'm just curious how they forced you. Did the hold your family hostage?

 

Really? Is it not obvious? Kinect is a peripheral, which is NOT required to user XBone, yet it is required to purchase, even though I do not want one. Yes, the controller is a peripheral too, but it is required to play. The headset, I could do with or
without. My point is, it's not necessary to have a Kinect to play XBone, yet it is required to purchase. ...but you already knew that.

 

i really like the Kinect and i don't jump around at all(even though i keep meaning to try the Fitness App), just be happy that they removed the requirement for the Kinect to be plugged in and move on. MS has a vision of what they want the X1 to be, i for
one am interested in see where that goes.

 

Because a Blu-Ray player is not an integral part of the experience. The Kinect improves the Xbox One.

If you do not want one, don't buy one.

Why would anyone buy a Kinect if every console comes with it?

 

That's exactly my point... I DON'T want one, yet I would be forced to buy one with an Xbox One purchase. If Kinect can be unplugged (i.e. Not Required), it's not an integral part of the experience either.

 

Can they get rid of the bluray if all the game discs are on Blu-ray Discs? I'm not at all tech savvy, I just didn't think that was possible. Or would it be a download only version. Oooooh I would like that.

 

You obviously never used one. Just buy a Sony. Bye!
