Kinect 2 availability

Hello,

I am working on a R&D project involving the Kinect V2 (for Xbox One but with the adapter), and I was told by an employee from BestBuy Canada that the Kinect v2 (even the version for Xbox) was discontinued.

Is it true? I see I can still buy it from the Microsoft Store, but is it still produced ? And if so, do you know since when there will be support/production for the Kinect v2.

Minecraft

I've heard conflicting information about the availability of Minecraft on XBOX 360 and or Kinect. I'm not finding it to download on my computer to XBOX, only a video announcing it is now here. I've also seen a video on You Tube saying it will be available
for Kinect in the spring. Can anyone tell me for sure what is the availability of this game? Thanks.

Xbox 360's Kinect = Kinect v1.

Xbox 1's Kinect = Kinect v2.

Don't believe BestBuy employees who probably only earn minimum wage. THEY are NOT Microsoft. Microsoft has discontinued manufacturing Xbox 360 consoles. They wouldn't discontinue manufacturing Xbox 1 Kinects, yet! There is officially NO Xbox 1 version 2
Kinect. Read the start of my post. It provides a simple answer. People just add random stuff to the title of what they're selling and it can be easy for customers to get mislead by the title.

What I meant in the parenthesis is that the version of Kinect v2 for Windows IS discontinued, but what he told me is that the Kinect v2 for Xbox One was also discontinued. I am not interested in the Kinect version 1. My question was about the Kinect v2 for
Xbox One availability.

But apparently it is still available, at least for now. Only the kinect v1 is not available on microsoft website. I had to do some research just to be sure.

Who said Kinect version 2 ???? You said Kinect...... which is available NOW

HI, Xbox 360 Kinect games will not become backward compatible, the only games that will be, are the ones that are controlled with a game controller. So games like Fruit Ninja Kinect and Fitness Evolved will not be available on the One unless the developer
creates an xbox one version. Although there is a Fruit Ninja Kinect 2 for The Xbox One that is currently available.
