Kinect 2.0 Turning Off And On Randomly

I notice from time to time that my Kinect shuts down (all lights turn off) for a few seconds then turns back on again. Does this sound like the typical issue that some Xbox One owners are having with Kinect? Do you guys think I should contact support?

Kinect stops working randomly. Full Reboot fixes it

I just started having this problem last week. Its just turning on and off randomly... often the voice commands wont turn the xbox on becuase the kinect doesnt seem to have power??

 

Xbox One Turning On

For some reason my new Xbox One keeps on randomly turning itself on. I have the power saver mode turned on and power it off completely when i turn it off. No Kinect, so that isn't an issue. Is my console haunted???

 

I would reboot the console first, and then reset the Kinect Sensor. See this link, scroll down to "Reset your Kinect Sensors Connection"

Rebooting: With the console on, press and hold the power button on the console for 5 seconds until it shuts off. Unplug the power supply, wait about 30 seconds and then plug it in and reboot. You should see the green Xbox One splash screen upon reboot.
It may take a minute to boot all the way to the home screen.

 

I actually have tried that already and I am still experiencing the issue.

You could wait until the 4th at the next update to see if it helps, but if you have run through the steps in the Kinect trouble shooter, they advise you to contact MS for further assistance.

 

So I had the same issue. I came to this thread thinking I could get some help too. But yet, after reading these post I took one last measure before i thought I was ***.

I turned of the xbox manually then unplugged everything in the back (I think it was the power cord that did the trick). Plugged everything back in and presto! It worked! Hopefully that works for you too.

 

My Kinect sensor turns off at random and sometimes restarts on its own. When I unplug the Kinect, and/or the console, the issue is temporarily resolved, but I must do this at least once a day. Also the controller does this when games are played. This makes
me think it's a problem with the console.
