Kinect 2.0 Constantly Rebooting/Switching Off

Hi guys,

I'm having an issue with my Kinect 2.0 sensor in that it regularly turns itself off - All of a sudden the red lights & Xbox logo will go off. About 10 seconds later it will come back on. This can happen anywhere from every few minutes, to only once or twice
an hour - Sometimes it will just turn itself off and wont come back on unless I unplug Kinect or Power Cycle the console.

My initial reaction was to assume it was broken, but because it (most of the time) comes right back on, or works again after unplugging & plugging back in, I wasn't so sure. Added with the fact that I'm aware that some games can use the power Kinect would
normally be using to run the game - I wondered if maybe that was possibly a factor.

Just wondering if anybody else has experienced this at all? I'd really rather not send the entire console away just to have the Kinect sensor repaired/replaced.

Yet another problem

yep i checked that. did a complete turn off of console, unplugged everything. went to settings, and the kinect constantly cycles between saying "plug in kinect" and then showing it is plugged in, but hasd no video feed, just a black screen. Its like it is
in an endless cycle of rebooting or something

 

X1 what are you looking fwd to the most?

1) Bigger/better games....but all the new features are a close second. kinect 2.0, switching back and forth between games, tv, internet and apps sounds awesome. I can't wait to be surprised.

Sorry to hear about the Kinect issues! You should not have to send your console in along with your Kinect if it's only the Kinect that is having issues. Based off of what you have explained, I recommend contacting our chat or phone support agents through

I have the exact same issue. Tried another Kinect, working fine anywhere, and it behaves the same. Looks like it's not related to the Kinect device but the Xbox One.

What should I do please ??
