Killer update won't let me connect to live now

I contacted support on this issue I don't even remember how many times now. It's the update itself that killed your live connection. I've had this happen now to 2 different consoles, under 2 different s-n/accounts. Both times, on both consoles, under both
accounts, I tried to update the console as I normally would, and it only makes it a little bit down the downloading bar before it quits and says it can't connect to live. When this happened to the first console, I freaked out, because we only use it for it's
online capabilities, ie Netflix, Hulu, and TWC apps, as well as playing games online. I of course contacted support. I eventually lost count how many times, but it was far too many for me. This is the error code I keep getting: 445e-0000-3080-056a-807b-01f7.

We borrow my mother-in-law's console, same thing, xbox 360 slim. It worked great for a couple months, but last night it did the same thing as ours. The fatal update came up, and it was either, do the update and risk having no live connection, or don't do
the update, and definitely don't have a live connection. Once again I contacted support, resistantly, because I knew I would have to spend forever trying to catch them up to speed on my issue. Eventually this time they told me that there is a service alert
on my system. On the xbox support page last night, it said in red lettering, that there was a service alert. I read it, and it said that it was for the xbox one, which we don't have. Right now I just checked it, and it says that live is up and running again,
and my live still won't connect, and the update still won't install.

This update has killed my live connection on 2 different consoles, months apart, under different accounts. It's not a console issue, but an issue on xbox's end with this shody update. There is something wrong with it, and I'm not sure what it is. But it's
basically ruined our experience. It really sucks.

Connecting to Internet but not to Live

I wasn't able to connect to Live while my profile was signed in. However, when I signed out, then it did connect. I thought maybe I should delete my profile and download it again. I deleted my profile, but now t it won't let me connect to Live at all.....except
it forced me to download an update....

It's connecting enough to download updates, but won't let me download my profile or otherwise access Live... Any ideas?

(I spent several days on the connection help page first going through the suggestions there with no result.)

 

I have the same problems, The last time they just hung up on me.. Guess they got mad cuz I asked how do I go about getting a refund for the xbox live that I cant use..

 

If this ^^^ is telling me to contact support for the umpteenth time, the only way that's going to happen is if I get repaid for these system your updates *** up. I just need a solution that doesn't involve me sending a random person there $100 that I don't
have to MAYBE fix the problem.

 

You've gone into your storage and cleared the hard disk drive's cache, and also unplugged your router's power and turned it on again?

...When that does nothing - delete your Xbox profile from storage and then retrieve/download it back to your console...although you'll probably be wasting your time and be even more frustrated.

If the update itself is getting stuck you could try burning the latest update to CD or putting the data on a USB flash drive/stick and doing it manually.

We have tried EVERYTHING!!! And we have tried deleting our profiles, yes plural, and downloading them, but alas, we can't get on live to re-download them. I actually contacted support already about the first system, and the gentleman was unbelievably patient
with me, and vice versa, and he took me through idk how many potential solutions. Literally nothing worked. Even tried hard wiring the console to my router or modem, (can remember which at the moment), thinking maybe I just couldn't get internet. Still nothing.
We've even gone so far as to re format the internal HD trying to remove the unfinished update, no such luck. That sucker's in there for good. Personally, I'm just trying to figure out if anyone has come up with a viable solution to this crap fest of a problem.
XBOX needs to stop charging people to fix consoles if it was a MANDATORY update that *** it up. That's another thing. I should be able to decide whether or not I want to take an update or not, and still be able to get on live. But that's a rant for another
day.

I've tried downloading the update offline on a CD AND and flash drive, and nothing. It doesn't even read that's there's said device there. Like I said, killer update...

 

I have same thing going on right now I just want to know are they going to fix it or if my 360 is now obsolete and I should note the bullet and but a ps4
