Killer Instinct Season 2 Changes Pt. 1 (System & Mechanics)

I know the ways Spinal can win lol but if Wulf gets in early it's tough. Spinal doesn't have a good wake up and without skulls against Wulf, it's bad (that mix up game is too crazy). Now yeah, Spinal doing everything right and getting skulls, DEADLY! I'm
just saying with these changes coming it makes it easier for a Spinal with NO skulls to compete in this matchup.

 

Yeah, the Spinal changes are nice, overall. I'm not sure about the color changes, but whatever. I do like that his shadow bone shaker is now projectile immune - I always found it odd that it wasn't when the heavy-kick version (with a skull) was. His throw
range, IMO, was already incredible and they're improving it!? That just blows my mind! You can now combo off of his popular dive-kick if you hit an opponent while they're in the air - that's a definite plus (especially since I can get 40+% damage combos with
him. His manuals are easier to perform compared to other characters (simply press an additional attack button during the auto-double part of the combo-chain) and he'll now gain skulls with those "spectral" manuals making him even more aggressive and dangerous.
Being able to cancel his normals into a run can make for some great mix-ups too. The ONLY thing I'm upset about is that his down medium kick no longer sweeps the opponent, which was something I actually liked.

 

Part 3! Rest of the cast .

 

I didn't realize that Fulgore's triples were now going to be done with an additional button press rather than a hold - for me, that makes him so much easier to use! In fact, it's just like with Spinal's manuals! That, along with the ability to have control
over his projectiles, an easier teleport, and no need to charge for pips means he's easily going to become a new main character for me to use - right along Thunder and Spinal.

Orchid's a bit less exciting IMO, although I still like her. Her grenade is going to add extra pressure and her shaow ichi ni san is gorgeous-looking!

As for Spinal, his new normal cancel into run is going to be a great way to pressure and confuse opponents at close range, like it was shown in the video and will make for a great variety of mix-ups. You can bet your bottom dollar that I'll be taking advantage
of that.

As far as Sadira is concerned, I've never liked her, but the nerfs they're giving her make me smile. Now players who use her regularly will have to own up to their actual skill rather than a broken and overpowered character.

I used to play Killer Instinct Gold at my friends house and reading all of this is giving me the impression that the Xbox One Killer Instinct game is WAY more confusing than the one from the Nintendo 64.

Nintendo 64 lol, well yeah the game is much different now (it is 2014) but not confusing

 

I'm so glad they changed Fulgore's teleport command. That's all I needed. I'm gonna miss building my own meter though.

 

Can't wait season 2. If had cash buy season 1 and 2 ultra combo pack.

 

Either TJ Combo's Ultra is different or it just looked a lot better now
