Killer Instinct Season 2 Bundles can no longer be purchased individually? Mistake or ...

Hi all,

I was browsing through the list of Killer Instinct downloadable content when I noticed something that struck me as odd. The Killer Instinct Season 2 bundles (both the Combo Breaker and Ultra Edition) for some reason cannot be purchased individually. They
are instead locked as part of other bundles--the Season 2 Ultra Edition can only be acquired by purchasing the Supreme Edition bundle, and the Season 2 Combo Breaker pack can only be acquired by purchasing either the Supreme Edition or the Season 1 & 2 Double.
Is this a deliberate decision, or some kind of back-end mistake that's disallowing them from being purchased individually as would be expected? In any event, either choice would be forcing me to re-purchase all the Season 1 characters, which I already have.

Also, the Season 2 Ultra Edition has the rather puzzling description of "Game description:This Add-On is included in the Season 2 Ultra Edition. You must purchase Killer Instinct Season 2 Ultra Edition to access." This seems like a mistake;
it should instead be telling you the contents of the add-on, rather than telling you it's included with itself, like some kind of recursive algorithm.

I imagine when Season 3 released, the Season 1 and 2 packs were rolled into one pack in a kind of "this is all the previous content you might want" type deal. I expect that it's intentional for the listings to appear as such.

 

Thanks for the reply! I didn't even realize anyone had replied until now (I expected a notification or something). I do notice that Season 1 isn't available for stand-alone purchase anymore either--it's a bundle or nothing. I still don't like the idea,
especially since the bundles haven't been price-adjusted to account for the lack of flexibility.

But then again, MS just announced the "Definitive Edition", which will only cost $40 and include everything (minus probably some of the "extra" characters), so odds are that will solve all the bundle problems.
