If someone gives you problems on Xbox Live:

    1. Don't talk to them.
    2. Mute.
    3. Block.
    4. Report.

If you currently have a communication suspension, you can view more details by logging on to
http://enforcement.xbox.com. If eligible, you may submit a case review as your appeal.

You can also change your Privacy Settings so that you can only communicate (message, chat) with people on your friends list. This would also mean that Xbox Live will automatically block all incoming messages/chat from anyone not on your friends list, too.

You can Block and/or Mute people. But that's kind of being Anti-Social..... Kids have fun :p But again that may be the best choice for the oldies. And you don't want an elderly couple trying out COD and hello, they hear these high pitched squealing.

You can also Report them too (Or on Xbox 360, File A Complaint).

Xbox is for all ages. You don't have to be over 18 or under 18, to play on Xbox. Even my friends uncle and grand parents, play Minecraft. Even Phil Spencer plays Minecraft. Even one of my friends 2 year old, plays Minecraft. It's a diverse group of peeps.

But something that Microsoft cracks down on, is language, especially swearing. Though it may not seem as much and if you live in a city, it's quite common, but bad language targeted and expressed at you can make you feel really bad. And Microsoft doesn't
want that. They want everyone on Xbox to be happy. Microsoft likely cracks down on it, because they do not want to get a complaint from the victims government or police, about the abuse bullying and harassing and life threatening. Some people will go straight
to the police especially parents, before bothering to report it to Microsoft first. After all, if someone threatens you, you would report it more immediately to the police since they are the law. Microsoft is not a government. Because when Microsoft gets complaints
from authorities, they have to take action. For less serious offenses, report it to Microsoft. But people do have the unquestionable right to report more serious offenses first to authorities.
