    Kids exist in parent win.Family account but not in parent XBox account ! How to fix?


    For using Minecraft realms(on android and iOs) the kids needed an XBox account. Created one and they could play.

    Later on, the account-policy was changed and kids could not access the realms anymore, unless a parent changed their privacy settings. I then logged-in online with my account and invited the email-addresses they used to join the family account. After the
    kids accepted the invite, they were added to the family on the Windows Family screen.

    The problem is, that they don't appear in the privacy settings screen for the xbox settings... The only selectable account is mine, but I don't see the other family-members that I see under Winows-Family.

    Because of a change in privacy defaults, the kids cannot play anymore, unless I change some of the privacy settings(which I cannot as explained above....)

    Any help is appreciated!

    (I only have access to Xbox trough web/ios/android)

    Unable to add son to xbox one

    As above,

    Select child
    Sign in as parent
    get to the 50c card authorisation, add card details
    Then get card already exists on account - go through screens - again!!

    Then after about 10 minutes updating account it fails with code 45468.7036976521340.5055251569016685

    Go to xbox errorhelp - can't find it Kids exist in parent win.Family account but not in parent XBox account ! How to fix? :(

    Can anybody help please we are pulling our hair out on this

    Just to say the card is on account from xbox and also Microsoft accounts linked to the parents account!

    I have a child account and the parent account has been deleted. I can't sign in to my account without accepting the new terms of use which requires my parent account which doesn't exist anymore. How do I get rid of/change my parent account without signing
    in? Please help!

    Thanks for your help - annoying that they don’t make this fully clear to unwitting parents buying kids xboxes.

    Will he also lose in-game purchases? like on fortnite etc…

    Is there no way to convert the existing account into a child's account or otherwise apply parental controls to it?

    It's great that you want to make such an amazing gift for your friend's grandson.

    While others already described how to remove your account, please help your friend make an account for himself (an adult account), and a separate (child) account for his grandson.

    Some (grand) parents make the mistake of using their own adult email account and let the kid play with that.

    However, by using their own adult account for the kid, the kid is regarded as an adult for the console, and the parent is unable to prevent the kid from talking to internet strangers for example, or limit the playtime. Also, this prevents the kid from going
    on an (accidental) shopping spree, and buying stuff from the Xbox Marketplace with the parent's credit card or bank account.

    So please advise your friend, that when they create an account for his grandchild, that he (or the father of the kid) should create their own adult Microsoft Account and then a separate child account (by giving the kid's actual birthdate during account creation).

    After the child account is created, the parent should then go to
    https://account.microsoft.com/family     and add the child account to their family.

    That way, the parent can set permissions and privacy options to make the Xbox a safe place to play.

    Additionally, this avoids later issues, where the kid would be able to access the parent's email or other Microsoft Services, if the parents let the kid play on their account. Later, you can't move the kid's gaming account away from the parent email account,
    without the parent's Microsoft Account being deleted.

    Yeah sorry, there is no way to change an adult account to a child account.

    Just to be clear. The parent account is designated as the home Xbox account. All the kids were added on as additional users. You redeemed the trial to the parent account? The same account as the Home Xbox account. How long is the trial? Trials can be limited
    so that could be the issue.
