Kids can't play a game I purchased

I created a new account and moved my kids xbox live accounts under it as a family.

I purchased a game online (Terreria), but none of them can play it unless I am logged in. It asks "Do you own this game" or something, then sends them to the marketplace for that game and says it costs $$$..

Do I have to stay logged in for them to play games I've purchased? That I recall, we didn't have this problem with the xbox360.

I noticed if one of the kids downloads a games (bought, or a games with gold), everyone can play it..

That's me the parent that purchased it for Christmas and kid can't even play a game. It's a mess IMO, and I know PS4's are not seeing the issue this thing is having. Extremely frustrating!!

 

Deleting Games from XBox1 permanently

You can't delete a game from your account once You have purchased It, but you can Control what your kids can see or not.

 

Sorry to hear it. This issue suggests that the gamertag that purchased the game has not set the console as it's Home console. Log in with that gamertag and head over to Settings. The option at the bottom of the list on the left side of the screen is the
one you want.
