Kid xbox one gamertags needed!!

I just got my son an xbox one for Christmas and he desperately wants other kids to play with. so far I am only seeing gamer tag exchanges for older players. he is 8 years old and doesn't need someone who will take playing games like minecraft too seriously.
he just wants to have good clean fun. so parents with younger kids who play xbox one. lets share those gamer tags. My son's is . he plays minecraft, plants vs. zombies garden warfare, assassins creed unity and black flag at the moment. soon to have
more games added. I would like kids age 7-13

How many of you are sticking with the xbox 360 till the severs shut down?

just got an xbox one. so I gave my 360 to my kids. not like they needed it. they have 2 upstairs already [tag:greedy] lol

assassins creed unity and black flag. we will add more games soon. it would be nice to have people who like to just have fun with the games and not get too serious. his gamer tag is and all other kids are welcome to add him or give him his gt. Thanks

Is it just me, or is it a horribly bad idea to create a thread for people to give out the gamertags of small children?

 

No it's not just you. I was thinking the same thing.

 

Only a problem if your kids accounts allow voice and message communication which as the parent account you can switch off.

 

While I don't have any kids, can only imagine I'd want to first socialize with the parents a bit and sit in on a few games to make sure everything was legit.

So yes, I think it's a bad idea.

I'll say again. If their is no form of voice or message communication allowed on the child's profile then it doesn't matter who they play against.

 

Dude, are you missing the whole point of this thread? It was created for children to find and communicate with other children. The issue is, some of these children, might not be children. For all I know, the OP doesn't even have a son and is just trying
to get kids gamertags

 

Nowhere in the ops post does he say he is looking for kids to communicate with just to play Minecraft PvZ and a few others. Which he can do with out a need to actually talk or message. Fill his "sons" friends list with people who he can share a MP server
with.

I understand the point you are making but he did not ask for people to talk to. Unless I missed something.

 

I don't see the harm in it. Most parents I'd imagine will monitor who their kids are playing/talking with online anyway. Games like Minecraft don't let random people enter your world's, so I'd imagine it's hard for a young kids to find people to play with,
especially if there friends don't have the same console.

 

Why would a person ask for children to play with his child if he wasn't planning on letting the kids speak to each other? That would defeat the whole purpose of gathering kids gamertags in the first place. He could have just asked for any random hobo to
add his kid and no one would ever know the difference.

And no, in my experience parents don't monitor who their kids are speaking to. Judging from the absurd amount of foul mouthed, racist 10 year olds we all encounter online. You know why you'll come across so many children playing GTA? Because a staggering
number of parents are ignorant enough to believe that all video games are for children and only children play them. So naturally they don't really need to monitor their kids speaking with other children.

 

Well I and a lot of my friends do monitor our kid's online thanks. I also let them play whatever they like as long as they behave and are polite. Funny thing is, it's normally the so called adults acting like morons in my experience..... Seem's ignorance
is everywhere.
