    Kid Kuma not allowed as name


    So I am trying to change my Gamertag to match my handle on all other site which is "Kid Kuma".

    However I am presented with the message that "Kuma" is not allowed as a name.

    I have this tag on pretty much every console, social media, and generally anywhere an account can be made.

    But, have only ran into this issue on Xbox when trying to claim it as a handle. Kuma means bear in Japanese, so I can't see it as vulgar.

    Anyone have an idea on

    1. why it's banned?

    2. how to bubble up this info to get it unrestricted?

    3. is this the best place to post this to get eyes on it?

    1.) Due to 4chan twisting the
    Kuma (japanese for bear) ASCII-meme to be associated with pedophilia    , you probably can't use anything with "Kuma" in the Gamertag name.

    2.) So even if there were a way to "bubble up this info", it won't get unrestricted.

    3.) Since this Answers forum is a community run forum, this is not the best place to get eyes on it, as we all are "only" regular people, just like you. So we can't really do anything about this situation besides explaining why you can't have it.

    If it's banned, chances are it goes against the Code of Conduct.

    What are some examples of inappropriate content?
