KI3 Season 1 Patch Update issue with Heavy Punch and Heavy Kick failing to work in game

After installing the final patch of Ki3 with the Fulgore update, my Heavy Punch/Kick Buttons are failing to work in matches, most notably in Arcade Mode. I uninstalled and re-installed the entire game, check my controller update and even tested both
buttons in other games. The buttons are only failing w/in Ki3. If I go to the remap option, even w/ a default setup or if I manually key in every button (both heavys register), the buttons will still fail in game. Anybody having this issue or fix?

How do I throw a red level punch in the dojo?

X (Blue) Is Light Punch

Y (Yellow) Is Medium Punch

RB (Red) Is Heavy Punch

A (Blue) Is Light Kick

B (Yellow) Is Medium Kick

RT (Red) Is Heavy Kick

LB is All 3 punches at once

LT is All 3 kicks at once

Tough? Against Sabrewulf? He's easy to beat using Spinal! Just stay back and use his heavy punch and fireballs to keep him at bay. If he tries to rush you with ANY of his special moves, just use the absorb attack to get more skulls and then counter attack
with a full-on combo. If he tries to get in by jumping, simply press down and heavy punch to knock him out of the air (or jump backwards and then press medium kick). If he tries to dash in, poke him with light punch.

 

No issues here I'm afraid...

 

After more tests, including a new profile and re-installation of my profile and borrowing a friends controller to compare, the controller is the culprit. Although the controller functioned fine in other games, w/in KI3, it would cancel my heavy attacks.
Now.....I just need a new controller.
