Keyword banning / baiting or people abusing power?

Haven't been abused by an admin yet, then again I'm not a godly player nor do I disobey the rules a server sets, so I'm not much of a threat/bait

Only you don't have the "power" to Ban other peoples, the best way is : Block and Mute the player with you want and make Report by abusive use in chat/party

If you break the rules and you get reported, you'll get suspended. It doesn't matter if someone else started it, or baited you into responding.

It takes MS some time to look at reports, so when people say "I got reported and was banned minutes later" or whatever, they're actually getting banned for something they did earlier. That's also why you can find that you get a second ban while you're still
suffering the effects of your first ban.

All you can do is open a case review on the enforcement website, but if you know that you sent messages that broke the rules then it's just going to be a waste of time to do that. MS won't reverse
their decision because those other guys sent you abusive messages first. They only care about the messages that you sent.

Your best bet is to use some combination of ignore, report and/or block in future if someone sends you abusive messages, then it'll be them getting banned and not you. Don't let someone get the satisfaction of baiting you, just so they can report you and
get you banned.

The other side of the fence says that for the amount of money a person pays for XBL, these bans aren't stringent enough. No matter what game one plays, trash talking and potty mouths can be found. Online interactions are NOT rated by any gaming organization,
they're governed by MS's ToU, CoC, which doesn't permit harassment or abusive behavior / language, period. Therefor, NO... trash talking does not come with the territory... especially if it's obnoxious or downright abusive, that's for sycophants and the products
of bad parenting.

Not that I particularly align with that extreme, but I am closer to it than I am to the belief that people should be free to trash talk with no boundaries. If you... anyone... get baited and lack enough self control to stop before "taking it a step over"
that's your problem. Even rodents can learn what baited traps look like and avoid them.

A lot of people on Xbox do this.. they bait you into argument. Once you argue or send them back an aggressive message with profanity, all they have to do is report you and enforcement take action.

The reputation system along with reporting is EXTREMELY flawed and easily abused.
