Keyboard Support: Possible Removal

I know (or heard) that during a previous update, the Xbox One got Keyboard Support.

However this is proving to be not helpful in any manner. Since this update, I have seen a 100% increase in the number of hackers/modders in Smite. I have reported those I found to be doing something "outside" the limitations of the game.

The two most common ones I now run into are either Stat Sharing Mods or Stat Boosting Mods.

Stat Sharing is rather simple, one person on the team runs a program (usually from their computer) that shares the stats of the team. Let's say that Player 1 is running a tank Warrior with little damage and Player 2 is running a attack speed/damage Hunter.
With a stat share mod on, this Hunter now act as if it has the defense of the Warrior and the Warrior hits as fast and hard as the Hunter.

Stat Boosting is a bit different. Player A will take the stats he has (or doesn't have) and then boosts them. So a Mage running pure power with no cool downs can pop his abilities as if he were running full cool down.

I don't know how the support is effecting other games, but I am sure there has been an increase in the number of reports for cheating in the last month or so. I can not give you concrete proff, nor can I give you a compelling arguement. All I can ask is
that you re-evaluate the benefits of having Keyboard Support on console, since most players have probably acclimated to the controller by now.

Gotta be honest, I have never played Smite but I have not noticed any difference in how people have been playing from before the keyboard update to now in any of the games I play.

Although I will say that I have only used the keyboard once to write a message and that's about it.

 

I'm not seeing as how you've come to the conclusion that the Keyboard Support is the cause? It kinda almost looks like you just picked something, anything. Could have been the invisible purple dragon?

 

Since keyboards were invented ive definitely noticed more people use them to type stuff, its getting worse every day.. MS needs to sort this out!!!

 

Trying to work out how using a keyboard/mouse equates to cheating or an increase in cheating.

May as well say cheating has been on the increase since the elite controller came out while you're at it.

There is no way you would know if cheating reports have increased or not unless you worked for the enforcement team.

Had to resort to using a keyboard to type this post,now I feel dirty :-/

I understand what he means but I believe it's a violation of forum terms and conditions to actually discuss it.

Suffice it to say that anyone using the keyboard that way is good enough to find a way to use the keyboard that way even without keyboard support.

 

This is a real shame I was looking forward to my concrete proff......
