    Hello,

    I’m new to the Xbox (Series S) and FS2020 and seem to have a couple of issues with getting a keyboard to work correctly. I bought a compact wireless keyboard and mouse. The mouse seems to work fine (in FS — I know it’s not supported in the Xbox menus) and it sees the keyboard but is acting strange..

    If I am in a text field anywhere (in the Xbox main interface or within FS), I can type just fine and it sees all the key inputs. When I am flying in FS, though, it doesn’t recognize many of the key inputs. For example, if I press “V” to bring up the map, nothing happens. The interesting bit is that if I go into the mappings for the keyboard, go to the Open Map setting, and enter “V” in the second box, it works!? If I remove the “V” from the second box, it stops working again. Some keys (for example, F7 to retract the flaps) work as is.

    Modifying the profile brings up another issue, though. When I change a setting and validate, it asks for a new profile name (which I enter). Then to exit, I choose “Apply and Save”. The thing is, when I go back in, only the Default profile is available... it didn’t seem to save anything under the new profile name I gave it. But, it did save my changes but in the Default profile. I was able to successfully make changes to my mouse profile (to change the sensitivity) and save under a new profile name so it’s not like that whole function isn’t working...

    Anyway, any help that anyone could give me will be much appreciated! Thanks in advance!!

    Thanks for your reply! No, I don't have a wired keyboard to try. I do have a full-size wireless keyboard (the one I got for the Xbox is a mini keyboard) with my computer that I will try tomorrow. I don't really expect that to make any difference, though.

    I have found that MSFS doesn't seem to like the quick resume feature. I completely quit out of the game and did a "cold" start and that seemed to solve the issue of not being able to save a new keyboard profile. It also seemed to improve the actual functioning of the mapping -- at least some of the keys that weren't working before, were after the restart. I haven't had time to test it fully though (that darn job just keeps getting in the way ;-) )

    My name is welcome to the community.

    Hello Christophe, try doing the following, uninstall ,remove any game or app that has in quick resume, then do a cache cleanup on the console, and a reset on the console keeping games and Apps, and try the MSFS again.

    1. Go to xbox press and hold the XBOX power button on your console for 10 seconds until it turns off

    2. Wait 10 seconds for it to turn off

    3. Wait 1 minute with it off

    4. Turn it back on

    Xbox One reset keeping Games:

    Press the Xbox button to open the panel.

    Select system > Settings > System > Console Information

    Select Reset console.

    Restore and maintain my games and apps.

    Rest assured, you won't miss games or saves

    Note: You need to know the email and passwords of your accounts when performing this reset.
