Keyboard and mouse.. WHEN!???

Can someone wake up gates and tell him to get his **** in gear on the keyboard and mouse support? Or at least support for HORI TAC pro Keypad and mouse.

Not on consoles. If you want keyboard and mouse, go get a PC.

 

Who or what is this "gates"? Is it a swinger? White pickett?

 

Why would Bill Gates care about what happens on the Xbox console, he doesn't work at Microsoft anymore.

Until Microsoft do implement mouse and keyboard onto the Xbox One, you could just use one of these.

I believe that Microsoft, and the other console manufacturers, should support keyboard & mouse natively.

Currently people are using keyboard & mouse adaptors which make the playing field far more unlevel than native support would do. How? Let me explain.

When you are using a controller games give you a generous amount of aim assist. When using the adaptor you are gaining all the benefits of playing with a keyboard & mouse, as well as that generous amount of aim assist. This gives players a huge advantage over
others.

This has gained such attention that players on PC are now using the adaptors to make their systems think a keyboard & mouse is a controller, because again they get all the benefits of keyboard & mouse as well as the aim assist for controllers.

So native support for keyboard & mouse would eliminate the advantage people currently have when using an adaptor.

 

Been in the works for ages, but some feel that by allowing mouse and keyboard support on consoles may be seen as a patent infringement.

So when the legal eagles finish wondering what makes a console a console vs what makes a PC a PC. (patents) You could start seeing mouse, keyboard and my personal fav. Flight Stick support by say... Never... Unless the powers that be overrule the hatchet

Console gaming is meant to be more simpler than PC gaming. No system requirements to worry about. No viruses to worry about. Keyboard and mouse commands from PC gaming, is more complicated than using a controller which has only a few buttons. A controller
is simpler, instead of pressing A, N,Z,B,5,3,Tab, Enter, Alt, F1, etc etc.

Honestly if you want a keyboard and mouse, get a PC! We don't want this PC rubbish on console.

Gates is also the founder of Microsoft. He'd be about the same age as some of the people on this forum LOL. He is a rich and good person and donates to charity. Microsoft has a very nice CEO who inspires me. Also Spencer is head of Xbox.

 

While a keyboard certainly does have more buttons you actually don't use them all while gaming. Indeed you use about the same amount of buttons to play a game with a keyboard and mouse as you do with a controller.

Well as this thread proves, people do want keyboard and mouse on console. Just look at the popularity of the adaptors for further proof. Plus as I said before allowing native support would actually level the playing field far more than Microsoft allowing
keyboard and mouse adaptors to be used on the system.

A Windows PC easily supports the Xbox controller as well as keyboard and mouse. There really is no reason to disallow the option on the Xbox One, especially since it too is Windows based.
