Keyboard and mouse setup

Hooking up keyboard and mouse to my xbox and having issues with the controller. How do I get the controller to not override the mouse? Cannot go back to the game with the mouse unless I reboot? Any help please...

Is there a special setting on the xbox for this?

There are some limits depending on the game and even in the dashboard on how deep is the support for the keyboard and mouse. So it will vary depending on the app and your usage.

Maybe someone could give you more detailed help if you tell us where or in which app are you having this issue.

For the following to work you must make the menu selections using your keyboard. If you use the controller to make your menu selections to start the game you will be placed in a room for those with a controller and your keyboard/mouse will be non functional
to make it fair to other players. To enter the room for keyboard and mouse users the game must be started by selecting the options using the keyboard/mouse. Hope this helps.

For the most part you should not run into any problems with most Mouse and Keyboard Setups. There can however, be some devices that are not going to be compatible with the Console. I would advise to reach out to the manufacturer to check and see if their
devices are compatible with the Xbox One.
