Keyboard and mouse not working on child's account on Fortnite

My child doesnt seem to use K&M whilst on his profile whilst parent profile also logged in to allow Xbox Live (2 consoles in house). Used to be fine on previous xbox. K&M works fine on parents profile. Any suggestions?

I start up fortnite then plug in my keyboard and mouse and only my keyboard works how do i fix this ?

What model of keyboard and mouse are you using?. There is of course a work in progress for both, I highly suggest using a wired Keyboard and mouse only at this current moment on fortnite.

Both are wired but mouse wont work on any game is my mouse broke???

Thanks for reaching out to us here on the forums with this situation. I understand you're having issues with playing Fortnite with keyboard and mouse from a child account is that correct? I would definitely recommend

contacting Epic Games and asking them if that is by design or if its just a compatibility issue that needs to be addressed. Hope this helps.

If your account is not a child
account, have you tried to configure your mouse and keyboard

Currently only Minecraft (without the "Xbox One Edition" in the title) is playable with keyboard and mouse.

All other games, including Fortnite do NOT work with Keyboard and Mouse on the Xbox One.

If you want to play Fortnite with Keyboard and Mouse, you can do that on a regular Windows PC.
