KESU USB3.0 1tb External Hard Drive Issues on Xbox One

I recently purchased the KESU USB3.0 1tb external hard drive for my Xbox One. I have the classic big body 500 GB Xbox One. The console easily recognizes this hard drive and even asks me immediately if I want to format it to be able to save games and apps.
Of course, I say yes to this. I have even set it to where any new games automatically get downloaded to there rather than my internal hard drive. Every single time I attempt to install a game the download is constantly paused or stopped or just downright fails.
I have attempted just about every possible troubleshoot option there is. I have reset my system (without deleting games and apps), I have deleted locally saved xbox 360 storage, I have deleted locally saved games, I've changed my power up settings on the console,
I have attemped to change the formatting of the hard drive on my PC, and I have even changed the name of the hard drive. Nothing has worked. The games just won't download. There was actually one time that I got a game to download but it would crash every 5
minutes, I promptly deleted it afterward.

P.S. I know a few people who have the same exact version of the Xbox as me and the same hard drive, but they have had zero issues with theirs.

What could be the problem and hopefully the fix?

    Thanks

    :)

    Hello

Have you tried to copy any games over or does that crash as well?

It could possibly be a Defective Drive. I purchased a Seagate Drive and it would install but crash the game every 5 mins.

Also, I have made sure that my console is up to date multiple times and I refuse to completely factory reset the system, that's just too much time. If there are no other options I'll just have to return the hard drive :(

KESU USB3.0 1tb External Hard Drive Issues on Xbox One

    Hi,

I just attempted to transfer over one of my smaller games (6gb) from my internal storage to the external KESU, whenever I attempt to so that I get a pop-up that says "Not enough space" "to install this game or app, uninstall something else, then try installing
    again. (0x80070070)"

Beginning to feel that I've been sent a defective hard drive.

    Corrupted game file

Can you try putting the game on an external Hard drive (USB3.0 and at least 256GB) to see if it's a hard drive issue?
The thing is I don't have an external hard drive and they cost like 70 bucks. I was just wondering if there was a way to fix it without the external hard drive.

    external storage.

the xbox has usb3.0, and external drive must be a usb3.0 drive.

You should return your drive to store.
