    Keeping progress on a game with a different profile


    I bought an Xbox Series X for the living room and recently my wife has gained an interest in gaming.

    She has I would said roughly about 25-30 hours on Slime Rancher and has been playing under my profile. Now while I enjoy her recent enthusiasm with finding an interest in a game, it has cut into my usually time for playing my games.

    I have my Xbox one S in the bedroom and would like to have it setup for her, but would hate for her to lose her progress even though she says it's fine.

    I know you can't have the same profile signed in simultaneously on two separate consoles, but could I have my profile signed in, but have the console offline and she still continue her progress?

    Your progress would just continue. The only difference is you'd have a license to keep playing the game.

    Hello RacingLegend4,

    Re-Downloading your profile will not erase gamesaves/progress in Minecraft or other games.

    You would have to physically delete the gamesave/progress yourself in your Hard Drive Storage options. So you are safe in regards to keeping your game progression.

    That's unusual, are you sure that you are still logged in or using the same Xbox GT user profile as before the Xbox update? It would be normal for a different profile that never played that game to have no progress or gamer score.
