    Keeping my X1 Clean


    So i live in an Attic, and i use to have a PS3 that i never ever cleaned.. and after a year it started making really loud noises and i assumed it was because of all the dust inside it.

    So i want to prevent that from happening to my X1.. what do you guys recommend that won't screw up my X1 to clean off dust and prevent it from getting inside the air vents ..

    i feel like dust can easily get inside from the upper part of my X1 i have it flat on the stand..

    i also know the PS3 had some way to make the fan spin backwards so the dust could come out is there something similar on X1?

    How bad is dust for your console?

    I live in a dust bowl so I keep a clean paint brush near and clean the X1 when needed,which is pretty much everyday.

    Keeping my X1 Clean

    I vacuum all my consoles with a soft brush attachment. Only takes maybe 1 minute.

    Also the more you vacuum the rest of your house, the less dust will accumulate on your X1.

    well i don't have rugs in my house.. just in my basement. so i want to buy some type of mini vacuum for my X1

    Oh I see. So you have hardwood floors? Now I can understand the lack of vacuum. As I said, most any little vacuum will work for you as long as it has the soft brush attachment.

    Get you a Swiffer duster and just touch up around it daily. I also bought an air purifier which has reduced dust in my gaming room significantly.

    sweet so i can buy a swifter and an air purifier? i don't know why i didn't think of the air purifier ! sounds like a great idea will put it on my bucket list for when i go the mall today
