Keeping files when switching consoles

I had this same problem recently and I had my slim since the beginning. There may be dirt or pet hair behind the power button since its touch sensitive so taking a dry cloth while its off and cleaning around the button and working it a lil will help dislodge
it. when it does the power off try and keep an eye on the power brick to see what the light changes. if it goes from green to orange witch is a good sign. if it flashes red then there is a problem with the power in the system. I cleaned the button all the
ports on the system and the port and plug on the brick. It still acted up but it didn't turn itself on anymore after my cleaning but it did turn on and off about 3-4 times before staying on. Now it is working fine and staying on. The major change i did for
this is I moved it from how far it was located from the floor to about 3 ft off the floor. this helped cause its no longer low enough for pets bugd or dirt to get on it as easily.

it might have dirt or dust on the power button or they could have given u a messed up xbox
