Keeping downloaded Games off of xbox360 HDD

My limited edition Gears of War Xbox360 Console finally died with a red ring of death after 10+years of use. The issue I have is all the downloaded games I have saved on the HDD. Games that were offered as part of Xbox Live Gold, as well as several games
I purchased using the xbox console.

Is there a way I can continue to play the downloaded games on the HDD on a windows 10 pc or be able to download them to a windows 10 pc using my xbox live account somehow without having to RE-Purchase these games??

Since Xbox has moved on from the 360, has introduced windows 10, xbox one, and xbox X it is becoming increasingly costly to keep up. I am looking to consolidate ALL my Xbox games/apps to one system but don't want to lose the games I have already paid for.

I understand that is how it is currently setup. What I do not understand is ... My Windows 10 xbox acct IS my xbox 360 acct. If the games are available to redownload on a 360 with signing into my xbox acct and I use the exact same acct to set up my windows
10 xbox app, along with the games being available for both devices ... I should be able to download a compatible version for any device I use my 1 and only acct on, especially since I have already purchased the game title on my xbox acct... How does one do
that??

your purchased games are kept in your account you can re-download them wherever you like as long as they are compatible

You have three options:

Buy a replacement Xbox 360
Buy an Xbox One - and play your games that are BC
Wait until the Series X releases. The Series X is due to have the same backwards compatibility with 360 and original Xbox games the the Xbox One has.

As long as you use the same account on one of these other consoles you can download them again. But you can not download these games to a PC.

Any games purchased on your profile will stay on your profile and could be downloaded to another 360 and played (or swap the hard drive to a similar model 360). If the games are backwards compatible on xbox one, they should also be playable there too.

In short, you can't. There are no Compatable versions of Xbox 360 games available to download for free on PC.

Xbox 360 games and PC games are separate. Just because you've bought a game digitally on the 360 doesn't mean you can download a free version of the PC version.

If you want the PC versions of these games, you'll need to buy them again for the PC platform.
