I need help or suggestions on the security of keeping people from making an unautherized purchase in the xbox live marketplace. I live with some friends that has two kids and one likes playing on my xbox a lot, but couple days ago I found out their child
had purchased the game called farming simulator 2019 which they were told not to buy without permission. While I was gone and was told about it I asked a friend to get refund which he did but selected the wrong option that said was the purchase was accidental.
Then yesterday I got back from a trip and heard that their kid ended up buying the game again and was told to stay off my xbox for awhile and now I'm trying to get it refunded again but even I screwed up on which of the 6 options and then later today I got
a email saying that the game didnt get refunded. Firstly, which options is it that I need to select for a refund and also how to keep their kid from doing it again?

You would want to change your sign in settings so that no one else can sign into your account without your password. Then have your friend create an account for their kid to play on.

As far as the refund, there is an option for unauthorized purchase. If you've been declined, you can try resubmitting the form or reply to the email you received to get in touch with the refund specialists.

Ok thanks, the account is mine but I let their kid play on it as long they don't purchase anything. Which was a mistake especially having to try out farming simulator 2017 which I bought last year in october and thought it was a bit boring and wanted to
get rid of it but their kid which by the way is 10 wanted me to keep it and has been playing it like crazy.

Regarding the refund, I believe there's a choice of "this wasn't purchased by me". That might be the most honest answer for the prompt.

First of all who's account are the purchases being made under? Also is this a child account or an Adult account?

Unfortunately when it comes to the refund process, by choosing a specific option it does not mean that you will get the refund. I would advise responding to the email that was sent out to you so that you can provide more information on the purchase to the
agent who responded.

it means you have to make the purchase from an xbox 360 not an xbox one because of your child account

Or make a purchase using an adult account
