The Kinect is a good innovation to the Xbox One. Keeping it for voice commands and recognition should not go away. If the further brings some games to become virtual use. How about us getting some cool shades instead of a big block over our faces. I think
Microsoft is too cool to look ancient. We are about being leaders in technology gaming.

Xbox One with Kinect vs without

...and for those who still think that voice commands couldn't be done without a Kinect... there's this magical thing called voice recognition software. I won't go into all of my devices that have this... phone, tablet,
pc's, blah blah blah. Astonishingly all that is needed is the built in mic or the mic one plugs in. A simple voice recognition app snapped could handle those voice commands.

Unfortunately as I've already stated, the game line up for a Kinect is beyond a joke considering Microsoft required a Kinect in the beginning of the One's life. This has forced some gamers to cling to voice commands as the great and wonderful thing that a Kinect
is needed for. Fortunately for those of us who do fine without them, there is now a choice.

how do people record game clips without kinnect? i like some aspects of it. like in dead rising where i can say what menu i want to go on the pause screen instead of switching over to said menu screen with the analog stick.

 

I'm happy with the Kinect and all I use it for is voice recognition and scanning codes - saves a lot of time! I would even be open to buying some games for my Kinect if anything interesting comes out. I'm very sure Microsoft are
working on a Virtual Reality headset, I hope not but I'm sure they are.

 

No issues here with Kinect either. The voice commands and gesture controls work well, especially the voice commands. I love being able to control my Xbox One and TV without picking up a remote or controller. Is it worth the extra $100? I think so, it definitely
adds to the overall experience of the Xbox One, but I can see why people would want a Kinect-less version.

 

Like I said before in previous Kinect/Kinectless threads as it's a hot topic here on the forums, if Microsoft at launch offered a Kinectless version I would have brought that because I was one of the people who said "I don't want
the Kinect", and I would have never gave the Kinect a thought, but I'm glad the Kinect came bundled because it has made my Xbox One experience that little bit easier and better.

 

I'm not a huge Kinect fan when it comes to games. A few of them do it right but man I'd be lost without it navigating my console. SO much easier to just say where I want to go. Now if only we could get people to mute themselves before yelling into the
mic. LOL

Ive never owned a Kinect and I never will. It was a nice try by MS but I knew a kinect-less xbox would be on the market within the first year of release. Even though they had people brain washed into thinking the Xbox On NEEDED the Kinect.

 

I'm glad someone out there is listening, even if it's our money they are listening to.

 

Stupid Xbox commercial turned mine on yesterday. Did get a good laugh out of it though.

 

My Kinect has solved my marital strife... whenever the wife wants to go to bed she says, "Xbox Off". No argument... no fuss.
