KEEP SUPPORTING XBOX ONE

I THINK THAT NO MATTER HOW MANY XBOX COMES.I WOULD JUST LIKE TO SAY THAT DON'T LEAVE XBOX ONE BEHIND AND START A WHOLE NEW CONSOLE WITH ITS OWN GAME.

Unfortunately that's no how Life works. Things change, progress and move on. Look at how many people on here still play or even have, an Xbox 360 or the first ever Xbox console. Microsoft has stopped manufacturing Xbox 360 consoles and one person on here implied
they stopped manufacturing the Xbox One original (fat) console and only do the Slim and X consoles. Microsoft has also stopped manufacturing AND selling the Kinect and Kinect Dongle which is mandatory if you want to connect your Kinect to an S or X Xbox One
console. Xbox One has been out since November 2013 and judging from the previous 2 Xbox generations there's a pattern of around 10 years before they release a new generation or new version. However, the Xbox One X is a major significant hardware revision cause
the hardware is so much more powerful than the original and S models. It's even more powerful than the PS4 lol - those people who love to diss Xbox as the weaker console.... now their console is weaker lol. And PC is the only platform with the most users and
gamers on it.

I still have like half my friends who still play on Xbox 360 ranging from 10 and up. Microsoft is still supporting Xbox 360 - IT'S INCREDIBLE THEY'RE STILL SUPPORTING IT and haven't shutdown the servers for Xbox 360. They also haven't even come up of a year
or date when they're gonna discontinue Xbox 360 XBL support. They did a great job with Xbox 360.

 

As things stand they wont be shutting down the 360 servers anytime soon as it's needed for backwards compatibility on the xbox one.

If it wasn't for bc I would think support for the 360 would be coming to an end pretty soon.

 

I don't think you have anything to worry about, from what Microsoft is saying the next gen Xbox will be compatible with Xbox One games straight out of the box.

Now this article is from a year or so ago, and things can change, but it sounds promising.

Xbox One X Might Be 'Forward Compatible' With Future Games

I mean as long as they stick to AMD hardware for the APU, then I can easily see all Xbox One games working with whatever the next gen Xbox will be called (Xbox 2?)

 

Just because they come from the same company won't guarantee that compatibility will be maintained for games. Mass Effect's PC port for example made use of the 3DNow instruction set on AMD CPUs.

AMD later dropped that set from their CPUs and thus the black pixel glitch was born (where at certain points all characters become a blob of black pixels.) I mean technically the game still runs, just with a rather glaring graphical glitch.

So a new APU in the Next Box, could end up breaking certain games. I admit it is highly unlikely for the next generation but still a possibility, the further away we get from the Xbox One though the odds are going to increase significantly.
