Keep Needing to "Check Network Connection" b4 Xbox Live Signs in

I have two Xbox One X's and this in happening on both. While the console auto-signs in, it doesn't auto sign into Xbox Live. I have to keep selecting the "Connect to Xbox Live" icon, which then takes me to Network Settings which then eventually shows that
I have an open NAT and then Xbox Live signs in.

I've tried Hard Resets which work for a couple of turn ons then it's seems to forget to connect to Xbox Live again. I've removed my account from the console then put it back on again. I've even done several Full System Restores. I've tried port forwarding
and switching to Full Cone. I'm really at a loss. It's just doesn't seem to go to the next step of auto signing into Xbox Live.

Only thing I haven't tried is setting the DNS on the console. I read of a similar problem on a 360 where this worked.

PS Ethernet connection makes no difference either.

I'm almost resigned to the need to manually sign into Xbox Live every time.

Can't ever play games without Internet. Help?

I have my Xbox set up to no automatic sign in. I prefer to type in my password every time I sign in (it's a habit. I don't mind).

One thing I've noticed is that I can't ever play my games because of that. Every time My internet is off I can't even SIGN IN.

It always says "Connect to Xbox Live - When this Xbox is not connected, we can't sign you in. This can happen if you don't save your password. Check your network connection, then sign in."

It's pissing me off because I donhave Xbox Live and the only reason I can't play my games is because it's not set to automatically sign me in. How do I fix this? I don't have Internet right now so everything is limited.

I entered the correct password, then tested the connection. It said something like, "you can still connect to xbox live, but your current network connection may cause issues for multiplayer gameplay". I still was able to connect to Live, though. Still,
every time I get on it says "you cannot sign in to xbox live. Check your network connection". Then I just go in and enter the password, and it lets me sign in.

 

You have probably tried this but have you tried a full hard reset of your router/modem?

 

Looks lke you have troubleshoot this, I would contact support..

But if this is going on with both of them, I would take a look at your router to make sure the configs are correct..

I had to open ports up for the NAT to pass the xbox network test. Since then, no issues..

Twice mate. No dice.

 

Speed tests and pings are all fine. No issues there.

 

...and that's just the basic process of opening these ports...is that right?

I'd be happy to provide some input.

By any chance are both Xbox's in the
Insider Program? When a console is enrolled in that program, preview updates are tested on those console's before they go live and they can come with some bugs or glitches.

It seems you've done a lot of troubleshooting already so I wanted to ask you out of curiosity.

The fact that both Xbox's that are having issues are Xbox One X's is also interesting as I have certain connectivity issues as well with my own during gameplay it just randomly disconnects for a few seconds, then reconnects automatically shortly after. This
happens periodically.

If it's something related to system updates or software for the Xbox One X, we recommend

Reporting the problem through the Xbox Insider Hub app.

For the DNS settings you can possibly try putting in a public server and not the one your ISP provides you with. From
Network Settings>Advanced Settings>DNS Settings>Manual.

Primary DNS: 1.1.1.1, Secondary DNS: 1.0.0.1

Neither console is part of the insider program so there shouldn’t be any weird beta on there.

I’ll definitely try the DNS settings and let you know how i go. Ill also report the problem through the hub.

It really shouln’t be this painful using the xbox and ive had no connectivity issues with any other devices including the PS4.
