    Keep losing Internet connection.


    Hey guys I have an issue atm were I keep losing Internet connection randomly while using Netflix, xbox video, Titanfall.

    It happens while playing via wifi and hardline

    my ISP is AT&T dsl extreme 6.0

    gateway is a netgear 7550.

    i can really use any and all help! Thanks a bunch

    Xbox One WiFi problem

    I keep my Xbox One hooked to the Internet wirelessly but lately, the One keeps "losing" the WiFi info. Does anyone know why this is? I know it's not the WiFi because my laptop and desktop never lose their Internet connection.

    As of right now while I'm posting at this time be aware that Xbox Music and Xbox Video are down according to the status page. They update every 30 minutes.

    If that isn't the case,

    A couple things, did you run a detail network statistics? If not, might want to try that first and letting us know what you have. Secondly, is your NAT Open, Moderate, or Strict? Let us know. You can find this information at Settings>Network from your Xbox
    One.

    Nat type is open (when I first used the netgear gateway it was set to moderate.) the issue has happened while playing titanfall and Netflix as well, when I ran my network status it was 5.97 dl, 1.65 upload, 1% packet loss, and 109 latency. I have hit a
    dead end with what it could be.

    Hmm... Well lets see here. I checked the Status page again and this weekend it seems Xbox Live experiencing some issues server side issues still, it might be affecting your overall experience. I've also notice you have pretty high Latency and 1% packet lost.
    109 is pretty high considering. Depending on what you have on your ISP and local network, best idea is to use either (a) one device at a time on your network, or speak with your ISP for gaming. Its not exactly average of what you have in terms because with
    what you mentioned is considered a slow connection.

    Your NAT is open which is good, it's loose in terms of security so your able to bypass all the benchmarks, however you'll need a much lower Latency in order to fulfill the network data of receiving good reliable service. But again that is between you and
    the ISP.

    Yeah, when I game only the xbox is online at the time. When I do a standard speed test on ie or the laptop the ping gets down to 53. I have literally tried every precautionary measure to increase my performance. From hardlined, port forwarding, one device
    at a time..... Etc like I said stumped I currently bullied my ISP to send me another router. But I used my 360 all last night and not a single issue from bf4 to watching movies.... I used the one and it had connection issues again.

    Hmm this has got me stumped as well. 53 ping is still pretty high. My best advice since the 360 is clearly working at optical level... Try minimizing the apps usage between gaming and apps that are open. (i.e have devices and apps like netflix off and other
    things not running while gaming on xbox one.)

    Also check wiring seeing if there is interference between other devices that might be troubling the connection. Other then that you'll need to discuss packaging with your ISP. Sorry. Keep losing Internet connection. :(

  9. I doubt it's your upstream bandwidth. If your NAT is reading as Open but you can't connect to certain people or have connectivity issues, call Xbox Support and ask for Connectivity Department to get the right people. The NATs of BOTH players have to be messed
    up to keep them from connecting to each other. Your NAT may not be truly Open. I had the same issues. What happens is many modems, Motorola included, exert a weak NAT of their own, a weak router function. The NATs of the modem and routers will overlap and
    cause your issues. Also, a router may also need to be slightly altered to enhance online gaming connection. Both issues can be solved relatively quickly by Connectivity Support.

  11. Have you tried connecting the console directly to your modem? It might be the router is causing the issue. Most ISPs provide really low quality routers.

    I doubt it's your upstream bandwidth. If your NAT is reading as Open but you can't connect to certain people or have connectivity issues, call Xbox Support and ask for Connectivity Department to get the right people. The NATs of BOTH players have to be messed
