Keep losing connection to server/xbox live

I had a netgear wireless router in my house and everything was working fine then out of nowhere i started losing connection to host/xbox live server and idk why. So a friend of mine gave me a linksys box hoping that would fix the problem but it didnt. The
box is sitting on top of my xbox and is hardwired to it. But i still have the problem over and over again. Its really frustrating makes me want to not play xbox anymore. I did a speed test on my xbox and it all seams good. but i still have the problem. It
happens so much it makes it pointless for me to try to play call of duty ghost to the point i just turn my xbox off. What should i do?

keep losing connection to server

keep losing connection to server sometimes right after logging on, other times while playing a bingo match. please help as this is very annoying. Happens to my husband as well when he is playing. Thank you.

I keep getting kicked from the games for losing my connection to the server.

Aside from changing the router/gateway, what steps have you done so far?

I state this many times and will also here. Wireless is not the best for gaming. If you insist on playing on wifi make sure you are limiting other devices you may have connected to curbed the interference. Also keep in mind the more wireless items in your
home the more interference you will have as most of these devices all share the 2.4 Ghz frequency. If at all possible it is always best to game on a wired connection for optimal results. Also watch for other factors such as your ISP having an outage, weather
that may be causing issues, and in some cases the hardware which you have already replaced. The speed test is not always the best because it will always change constantly on Wi-Fi. As RevRain stated some further info is needed as well for bets support such
as what steps have you taken? Have you tried anything like port forwarding, Connecting hardwired via Ethernet, placing the router/modem in a centralized and high point in your home, etc.?

I'm having the same problem with Squirrellybear. ISP also confirms it's fine their end. I've tried a wired connection and it's still happening. Any suggestions?

Hi Miss Kleo, cool thanks for letting me know they have a page to check if the servers are running. I was wondering if there was a way to look for that. I never get too worried about this sort of thing, there's always a way to fix it in the end. ;-)
