keep getting kicked off xbox live when playing online MP why is this happening with this game?

PopMagic explained my situation perfectly. My issues seemed to have started about 3 weeks ago with the update for Destiny on November 1st I think? Where they supposedly "fixed" error codes, but I've been getting them nonstop since.

Hi, i have the same modem and i'm having the same problem, i get randomly kicked from xbox live and partys. I can barely play any multiplayer game including destiny/ cod aw ect

 

I have an original 360 and have the Xfinity router also. When I try to go into a match on Advanced Warfare, all I can do is spectate. When I go into a match on World of Tanks, the screen freezes and then I'm kicked off XBL for a few seconds. Didn't start
having these problems until this morning.

 

im with you brother, ive been waiting all day for some [Mod Removed] to resolve this issue. no luck yet. if i decide to get the x-box one, will i share the same issues. this sucks and somebody should re-imburse me for
my down time

 

I have the same issue except with any COD i can play maybe one game then it disconnects me from xbox live but as soon as I go to dash im signed right back in. It has been doing it so much im actually considering going to Playstation something needs to be
done.

 

Also with my issue the router is different so i believe it is something either with the XBL servers or the COD servers seems to me like trying to force others who wanna enjoy games they did before to go get a ONE

Hey guys, I'm also having this issue with this Gateway. It's the Technicolor TC8305C from Comcast. This is being caused by a Firmware update that Comcast updated the Gateways on 10-22-14. It's been happening for two months now and it looks unclear if this
will EVER be fixed.

XB1R Zeus:

Lag and intermittent disconnections may occur, with no permanent fix known at this time. We are currently working with Comcast towards a resolution.

High Firewall settings on this device can cause a number of errors on both the Xbox One and the Xbox 360. We have seen "High packet loss" errors on the Xbox One and several potential errors on the 360 including "MTU", "Internet error", "Live connection".
Should any of these errors occur we suggest disabling or setting the firewall to low.

XB1R HADES: Update: (12/24/2014): At this time there is currently no guaranteed fix for these issues and there may not be a fix for some time. This is a firmware issue with the device and not something that Xbox can fix on our end. At this time the best
suggestion we can make would be to replace the gateway with a different brand. Currently the Arris gateways also share similar issues as well.

Since this is not going to be fixed (it seems), I suggest going to the nearest Comcast Service Center and just switching your model for a different one:

I am still unsure if the Arris Gateways also have similar issues as well, I heard that this can be fixed with a firmware update.

XB1R Athena (Arris TG862G with Xfinity Firmware):

The Xbox may not be able to connect wirelessly to this device, or suffer from lag and intermittent disconnections. This is due to firewall setting that can cause MTU, Live Connection Error or Can't Access the Internet errors in older versions of this devices
Firmware. To resolve these issues, you will need to update devices Firmware to version 7.6.59c or later. Please see the Firmware Update section for instructions on how to update your devices firmware.

So I would suggest just getting a Arris TG862G and updating the firmware, or try the XB3 Wireless Gateway from comcast. (Cisco DPC3939)

Will this ever be fixed?!?!

 

In the meantime, I've found a way to stay connected to Xbox Live, you guys can try this if you want...

You need to have your Wireless Network ENABLED with these settings:

Wi-fi settings:

802.11 b/g/n/

Security Mode: WPAWPA2-PSK (TKIP-AES) (the recommended setting)

Channel selection: Manuel

Channel :11

Custom security

(Make sure you change the SSID and password as well!)

 

Not a bad Idea. But enabling DMZ opens up your NAT and also can get ride of issues.

It seems to work for some. But it's best to replace as well. If you were to replace the technicolor TC8305C with a different model Gateway, what would it be. Or a router and modem combo? Trying to get a few suggestions.

@FluffyBruhh, tried the settings that you recommended... I was able to play for a bit but then got disconnected again.

 

Same problems here. We own the Xbox 360 slim S. We use Comcast and have the techincolor router with the same problems.
