    Keep getting error message when trying o play Elder Scrolls Online


    My kid is trying to play ESO and keeps getting an 0x80080204 error message on the Xbox One.

    It says an update is required but there are no updates for either the game or the Xbox available.

    We've uninstalled and reinstalled the game, and tried doing a factory reset...didn't work.

    Any ideas appreciated!

    im getting the same code when I got a message from xbox live that I earned my gold rewards so I downloaded the game free. im not even trying to play the gamw im getting it while trying to play elder scrolls online. im just gonna delete the game anyway

    Did a hard reset and it fixed the issue BUT, the issue keeps reoccuring. Today I was playing The Elder Scrolls online when the screen went black and eventually my home screen popped back in. I could not log back into TESO due to 'an unexpected internal error.'
