    Keep getting error code d0000221, can't connect with friends


    Keep getting error code d0000221 when trying to access friends and messages on xbox live. How do I fix this?

    Error Code D0000221

    I'm having the same problem... I've tried connecting directly to my modem; cleared cache, set-up new live account; purchased new xbox, etc.

    xbox support says it's my ISP. my ISP says it's xbox. this is quite frustrating!

    I now have to download updates via xbox.com and transfer them to my console with usb drive. and I am unable to download map packs (or any content from xbox live) that I've purchased.

    Hey there River! Just to continue testing the issue a bit, can you confirm that you have tried a wired connection directly to the modem? If not, try connecting the console with an ethernet cable to the modem. Also, can you try removing your current storage
    device and using a different one, either a Hard Drive or USB. Let us know how those two tests go, thanks!

    I too, wouldn't mind knowing the answer to this. I also seem to be getting the same error code sometimes when checking my friends list, a current party I'm in (if applicable), or even checking my messages. It's really frustrating.
