    Keep getting error code 0x80a40008 even trying to sign in on xbox one


    As of yesterday after a whole year. Xbox wants to change my Gamertag. I was told it was inappropriate. That's understandable. It was previously TrAsHbOaTbXtCh. Now Lazycub.. Out of all the names they give me that. But why wait a whole year. Since they
    force changed it. I haven't been able to sign in on my xbox one. I'm able to sign in on my xbox 360 just fine but not my ONE. I've been on the phone with tech support for hours and they don't have a clue. WOW. What are we paying you guys for. .. I've tried
    from deleting all the profiles to hard resetting the console. . They told me to wait 4 days until tech support would contact me back. . Keep in mind this was a brand new day one console fresh out the box. Used only once. . Why is this happening. . AAAAAAHHHHHH

    Keep trying to sign into Battlefield and getting the error code 0x803f9006 on the Xbox One after I put in the code and it is extermly fusterted when trying to play game. Is there a way to get around this.

    Hello WearyCub,

    Code 0x80a40008 refers to an unexpected sign in error.

    The solution suggests to go "Xbox, go home" Sign out all users if possible, and try to find your profile, and try to sign in again. If you are still having issues, try trouble shooting with your Kinect to see if it recognizes you. If you are still receiving
    the same error code, then you will need to speak with Xbox Support to get further technical assistance with your Xbox One.

    Here is a simple guide to do so:
    support.xbox.com/.../troubleshoot-kinect-sign-in

    Otherwise you can try a hard reset by pressing down on the Xbox Power Button Located on your console. Hold that down for 10 seconds and do a full fresh reboot. Try signing in from there.
