Keep Getting Disconnected - Have Cleared Cache & Bought New HDD

Before getting a new HDD, try clearing the console cache by going to settings on the dashboard, go to memory, and then press Y on the HDD and hit clear cache. If this doesn't help I would try formatting the HDD as well.

Clear your cache. If that doesnt help, keep anything that you want from your HDD onto a flash drive and format the HDD. It takes your xbox back to how it was new and fresh.

I am having the same issue. I just bought a new HDD and am getting the same error message for Black, Painkiller, and Mercenaries for Xbox original. I tried clearing the cache and re-installing the system update but have not had any luck playing these games.

Check the disc for scratches and smudges,

while the xbox is off disconnect the power,

disconnect the hdd, wait like 3 minutes,

reconnect hdd and plug the xbox back in,

and then clear the cache on your hdd again.

did you try the disc on a different xbox? also have you tried installing the disc to the drive before playing?

If you have tried clearing the cache and deleted all of your corrupted files on the system, I would look into getting a new HDD. Make sure its Microsoft licensed.
