Keep getting disconnected from XBOX Live/ lagging connection

I just switched from a very slow internet connection with Verizon to a faster cable internet with Charter and got a new router a week ago. However, since then, I keep getting disconnected from XBOX live (all network/internet/XBOX Live connections test as
connected), I am having problems playing multiplayer in any game, and it seems to lag,even just signing on. I was able to play at my grandmother's house online in public matches with no problem. Please help! The new router is a TP LINK N600 3500 dual band
wireless router. Is there something special I need to do as far as the settings go? I would really like to get back online with my friends!

Help with my connection.

Can anyone help me improve my connection? I have bt fibreoptic and apparently im getting 70mb dl speed and 23 upload speed, My problems consist of 1. I keep getting disconnected 2. I cant connect to my friend partys 3. I keep lagging partys out with my
connection. I have allowed my router to give full connection to my xbox, this problem is driving me crazy! Please help!

This may not be the router and simply just Charter internet. You may need to contact them for this issue. When I received a new internet package I had issues similar where I had to call the company and they replaced the router for free and also solved a
few issues like this one by resetting our connection. If this does not help then I strongly suggest trying a wired connection if you are not already doing so.

I use to have constant lag issues on the xbox 360 what helped me was placing my xbox 360's IP and DMZ mode. Then Turn on port forwarding, in your router settings how ever if this seems like too much to do or too hard for you to figure out i suggest you
do the steps posted above my post. If you need help setting up port-forwarding and DMZ please let me know and i can Try my best to help you, How ever i have never used/Have experience with that brand of router so it will involve so research on my part but
id be happy to help you.

If you are only lagging out of Destiny and disconnecting from Xbox live and getting he hawk error, that means it's Destiny not your xbox or ISP, but if you are lagging out of other multiplayer online games as well it's most likely your internet connection.

It says I cant connect to my home network. And when I do connect I lag or randomly just disconnect from xbox live

This is definitely not a unique issue.

I keep getting disconnected from xbox live either while trying to find a match, during the match, or sometimes ill go a couple matches then get disconnected from xbox live all together and i have to re-connect to live.

I played with a friend in a party and I actually stayed in like 10 matches before getting disconnected.
