    Keep disconnecting while trying to download


    I don't know what's wrong but I can't seem to download stuff over night. I used to download all my games and dlcs over night on my previous Xbox but now I got an new Xbox and it keeps disconnecting me from Xbox live over a certain amount of time which I
    never used to have that problem. I think it has something to do with inactivity but not sure. If anyone had this problem before any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks

    Xbox keeps disconnecting and reconnecting

    My xbox keep on disconnecting from my internet, then reconnecting and then disconnecting all while being lan line connected. What is going on?

    Has anyone else having this issue?

    Since the latest dashboard update last year, I've been randomly disconnecting whenever I'm not playing games online. Like, when I play GoW or Halo I have no issues but if I'm talking to my friend whilst I'm on the dashboard or I'm watching a movie while
    downloading an arcade game it just disconnects.

    Not once have I every had this and now it's really starting to irritate me because I'm trying to download Toy Soldiers: Cold War and it just keeps on disconnecting me even if I pause the download.

    forgot to mention... Xbox live keeps disconnecting while trying to play Kinect Adventures and even when just looking through the xbox dashboard.

    I would suggest clearing the system cache on your Xbox. You can do that by going to My Xbox > System Settings > Memory > Press 'Y' on any storage device (it will clear it for all storage devices) > Clear System Cache

    If that does not work, then you may want to test your connection using System Settings > Network Settings and Test Xbox Live Connection to see if it gives you any errors. You may also want to simply try plugging the network cable into a different port on
    the router--the port it is connected to may be going bad.

    Downloading games taking a long time

    Are you downloading from a disc or a digital download? It took about 5 hours to download call of duty as a digital game. If downloading the digital version it will take quite a while depending on your internet speed. If downloading from a disc try disconnecting
    from the internet and downloading the game that way.
