Keep disconnecting from xbox live

It would seem I'm not the only frustrated user that is suffering from this update that won't keep me connected to xbox live. Everything else works fine with my WiFi and the xbox one is the only one that's having this issue. I'm at my wits end investigating
on how to fix this issue! Instead of being wireless, I tried wired and even that didn't work. I have 3 new games I CA t play because of this, someone please help

Things you have tried: Going wired and using ether net cable, going offline and back, setting up wireless again, powering off and removing power cable and turning back on.

Is UPnP Enabled? Yes/No/Unknown: unknown

Do you have a NAT error? If so, what is your NAT type?: NAT type is open

Any Error Codes you encounter: when I set up wired, it says can't connect to dhcp server. But when wireless says Internet connection is good

Who is your ISP? (Internet Service Provider): Brighthouse

Are you saying you keep disconnecting from xbox live ?

 

So is your xbox one hooked to the Arris or is there a router ? If so , need the router make and model as that's where you will need to check some things...

 

What device is supplying wireless connectivity?

 

I just realized I had another box in back of tv , which I'm assuming is a router. It is still an Arris and the model is DG1670A. I connected the ether net cable to that box as well and it still did the same thing and this one said Internet was connected
but NAT type was moderate.

 

I corrected the problem by following the advises given on this forum. ethernet cable + dedicated "static" IP address in xbox one and for 1670A + port forwarding. since then, it is working fine. nonetheless, it seems that microsoft has underestimated (at
the very least they did not share possible concerns) the consequences for many users of the recent upgrade.

 

My friend came over and fixed this in 5 minutes. He reset the router and changed the frequency and now it works perfectly fine. No ether net cable or anything!
