    It's the third time in the last 2 months that this has happened to me, it says "We've detected some activity that violates our Microsoft Services Agreement and have locked your account." and i have no idea why. It also is a pain in the **** to unlock it since i don't have a phone of my own and for some unknown reason microsoft decided that my brother's phone wouldn't work anymore. At the moment of writing the message, i am still locked from my account and i just want to know how to make them stop harassing me with locking my account every friggin month or so

    Hi David,

    I have filled in every possible section on the recovery form and yet it is still being rejected.

    Xbox support is not working because:

    1. the virtual bot is useless for this specific issue

    2. I cannot have a call with someone as I need to sign into my account prior to the call which I obviously can't do

    3. there is no email address to contact

    I am still looking for other ways to contact someone, however, this forum is the only thing I've found so far.

    There is nowhere on the recovery form to actually explain my situation. It is just for my details.

    If you have two step verification enabled where it sends a verification code to your phone number than unfortunately the recovery form wont work for you. It says so right on the form.

    That being said when you first setup 2 step verification it would have provided you with several backup codes (meant for this exact sort of situation) and it would have told you to save those codes in a safe place.

    Did you save those backup codes? If you did then you can enter one of those in place of the code it says it is sending to the phone number. If you didnt save those codes then unfortunately your account would be completely unrecoverable. Those backup codes are your absolute last resort for regaining access to an account in this sort of situation.

    I'd have to google the exact error code, but the last 2 support reps told me it was a billing lock due to lots of payment detail changes, so whenever I try to purchase anything, add a points card, renew my subscription, or anything else regarding money I
