    KB5023706 seems to have broken Windows Solitare.


    Since about March 14 when KB5023706 was released, Solitaire intermittantly fails to open the ad, let alone get past it to play the game. Closing and restarting sometimes works, sometimes doesn't.

    I am using a 64 bit laptop with Windows 11, fully updated. No error message, it just keeps returning to ask what level I want to play at.

    Kim, my previous reply doesn't seem to have gone through so I will try to reconstruct.

    I am not sure what you mean by the "default System screen". I take it to mean that I click the Windows 11 icon, then scroll down the list of apps to "T" and find Troubleshooter. Unfortunately that isn't listed.

    If I click on "Settings" and then the "System" tab, Troubleshoot is one of the options. From there I can select "Recommended troubleshooter preferences", or "Other troubleshooters".. The former gives several options such as "Run automatically, then notify me", none of which seem to initiate any immediate action. The latter gives me a long list of troubleshooters for Internet connections, printers and so forth, but none seems specific to Microsoft games.

    If you are suggesting some different procedure please explain.

    This is suppose to be a free game but mine has just stopped working and now when I try to re-down load it XBOX is asking $9.99 per month to play it.

    There is no game called ms solitare daily challenges those are just html 5 webgames only vavailable on the Web not pc or consoles although should be playable on console since edge supports html5 games

    You can download the free ms solitare collection from the xbox store if you have windows 10 or higher
