Just watched a video of taking apart the Xbox One

Very interesting seeing how big the motherboard is, the fan is massive but I can see why it is, nice quality too.

Looks like a lot of effort has been made to make that motherboard and you can see that they made big steps to stop the over heating.

The external power brick, I am glad that it's external rather than trying to put it inside the machine.

Ok some of the ports are in silly places but that's ok.

Its future proofed too. I like the design and to be honest can see why they made the xbox one look the way it did.

Easy repairable too if something went wrong.

xb1 vs pc TF compare

I just watched a video on IGN and i must say i couldnt tell much diff between the two yes the xbox one version was darker but apart from that

 

Don't make a "slim" console this gen

I also watched some of technobuffalos youtube videos. Xbox 1's internal hardware components definitely runs A LOT cooler than the competition. Hardware should last longer when it has super-good ventilation like what Xbox 1 has. Microsoft learnt their lesson
from last gen regarding earlier Xbox 360 models. So they went big. It would still be appreciated if they made a slim model, but I've learned to accept my Xbox 1 Day 1 Edition with Kinect, design. I watched another Youtube video of two men who took apart the
Xbox 1, they said the Xbox 1's fan was BBIIIIIIGGGGGGG. Youtube video titled: What's Inside Microsoft's Xbox One Console, by Tested, it's a 14-15 minute long video. I think Microsoft went toooooo far with their ventilation. It just clearly reiterates they
have learnt their lesson from Xbox 360.

 

Don't disagree on your other points but how is the console hardware future proof?

 

Just be sure that the console is only opened by an authorized repair center. Repairs by anyone else may result in a shiny black door-stop. It's a great piece of technology to be certain.

 

Just to add onto what KLR said, each and every user here grants MS the power to send information to and from your console to detect self repairs / modifications. Most of us all know this but for the sake of the newbies, its worth noting.
