Just some questions.

You picked a great time to get the Xbox One. Like Eggnogga said, they're still doing the promotion where you can get an Xbox package of your choice(Kinectless Xbox, Xbox w/ Kinect, Xbox w/ Kinect Forza and the Kinectless Madden 15 bundle) as well as a free
game(get dat Destiny) The first 2 options are really not relevant cuz even if you don't want a Kinect, you can still get Madden 15 for free basically and if you do want Kinect, go with the Forza bundle. I would say get the Kinect because like others have said,
navigation is so much better with it. Plus it's super fun to tell your Xbox to do this and that. Hurry up though because that promotion ends tomorrow.

The xbox one has a game DVR function which records your gameplay. You can record in increments of 30 sec, 45 sec, 1 min, 3 min, and 5 min. After you record your gameplay it saves to upload studio where you can then edit it and upload it to one drive or even
youtube.

If you don't think you will use the Kinect, then I would say get it without and if you feel you want it down the road, you could probably get one for cheaper off kijiji, ebay etc.., I have kincet myself and don't use it

Like other said if you have the extra $ you should buy it. If you dont its not a must own thing. But it help and is a great add-on.
