Just so many games!

I guess the longer I wait to go 4K the cheaper it will be, not sure if my old eyes will notice the difference

I'm 46 next week and have a grandson so I definitely don't get out like I use to. To be honest sure I like going out with the family but not like the old days where me and mates were out Friday, Saturday Sunday then early work on Monday, I couldn't physically
do it lol tbh though in my free time I'd much rather be playing a game.

Some great deals today on 4K TVs but if you don't want/need one now then by the time Scorpio lands there will be even better deals. As for the old eyes comment, I thought the same until I first watched a 4K movie, my jaw hit the ground. I'd get rid of the
wife and kids before I let anyone take my 4K away ;-)

 

@Lofty I'm looking forward to trying 4K out, might even get one this year for Netflix and Sky Q, why wait, only live once

 

By the time the Scorpio comes out we'll have 8K TVs and MS and Sony will be in a hurry to make 8K capable consoles lol.

It's a case of 'too many games and not enough time', on my end at least - I won't complain about having too many games though.

 

I swore to myself at the start of this gen that I wouldn't fall into the same trap as with the 360 by having loads of excess games to work through, but that hasn't gone so well lol

Tbh I think a lot of it is to do with how much I've enjoyed games this gen and got caught playing them to death, I.e overwatch,Xcom 2 have all held my addiction recently but I've still picked up Gears 4 - I'm doomed

 

It does get a bit silly this time of year, doesn't it?!

Gears 4, Mafia 3, FIFA 17 and possibly Deus Ex (if I install it) will now be getting my undivided attention til they're done. Then I might buy or rent the games I have to overlook at a lower price. And one day I will eventually start The Witcher 3 lol!!!

In fact, because the rest (majority) of the achievements are a grind and the game is a bit boring tbf, I'm gonna trade Forza Horizon 3 in tomorrow. Paid £33 and I get £32 cash back from CEX...beats letting it sit there gathering dust and devaluing when I
have other games to be cracking on with.

 

^ Know what you mean about just getting loads out of one game, it's been the same for me. I played Deus Ex through three times back to back and loved every one, still got some mileage in one more as well.

Old Lofty, you are saying a simple "like vs dislike" is equal to my statement of Games are Objectively worse this Generation due to the rampant DLC and cut Content that plagues the Industry.

Those arguments are not equal. They are not the same. Saying "I like vanilla ice cream" and then having your Reply, "motor oil is great for your car" is in no way a counter to the statement.

False Equivalence. It is not a matter of "liking" or "not liking" a Game. Games being Objectively worse is the statement and it has zero to do with personal preference.

I don't think I've ever had the backlog I have right now. I caught up a bit over the summer but once Fall hit I was behind again. Not a bad problem to have though

It's not an Opinion that Star Wars Battlefront or any other numerous example did not include Content that was in a similar Game just within this last Generation for the same price.

That's not "opinion" but Objective Facts and Demonstrable Evidence of the poor current state of the Industry and Games.

I spoke to my mate Codger whether we will get to a point with TVs where it just can't get better. Like I said though when I first got a 4K TV I didn't think it would be greatly better until I watched a movie in 4K/HDR and just wow!!

Again hard to imagine 8k being a huge jump but I'll wait to I see it. Funny thing is I was at my sons house the other day and he was watching a football match and on the advertisement boards around the pitch it was advertising 8k, dread to think of the prices
but can't remember seeing a 8k for sale in any of my local shops.

I think what the Xbix Slim is getting with HDR is fantastic. Can't wait to see what Scorpio does and the "other" new console next month which means even more games lol

 

Elohm for every game you post to support your theory I could post a counter game. It's your opinion that's all, it's not an industry fact. As I say I have played many more One games than you and DLC or missing content has not not factored into any of
them I can think of. That's my opinion and it's equally valid as your opinion because that's all you have despite trying to come across like an industry analyst, your just a gamer with an opinion.
