Just sent in my Halo Infinite Elite 2 for repair

I've had the exact same issue with my RB button for some time now. Its recently become unusable. These limited edition controllers aren't fit for purpose. Therefore Microsoft will replace them with the standard elite 2's, and refurbish and sell your controller. Why else would the not make arrangements to re-send us our limited edition controllers that they deem uneconomical to repair..... To bad that approach wasn't taken during the 360's red ring of death era.

Easier to lodge a complaint with your countries consumer watchdog\ombudsman. As they will assist you should you want to keep your limited controller, if uneconomical.

Good luck, but don't let them bully you. Not your fault they sold you a defective product and dont have like for like during the warranty.

Do better by your customers Microsoft!

There's no guarantee you'll receive the same type of controller back when you send them in.

This is exactly whats happening to me while playing Infinite, did you ever get your problem fixed?

I don't know if it's just halo infinite, but that is all I played. I sent in my xbox series x to get a repair and they sent me new or refurbished one. It was another halo edition series x with a different serial number.

Can we get ahold someone who can answer this for certain? I am also having an issue with my right thumbstick and this is a very expensive, and DIFFERENT product from a normal Elite Series 2 controller. If Microsoft/Xbox can't warranty the specific sku, then why is there even a warranty in the box at all? If they were to send a regular Elite Series 2 back after a Halo Infinite version is sent in, then they would be performing a scam--not a warranty service.

For me, the new Elite series 2 controller, project scarlett, and of course Halo: Infinite, and Cyberpunk was pretty cool too
