Just purchased Xbox live gold yearly plan.

so I just purchased the yearly plan for Xbox live gold. Then I try to play a game online and it brings me to a screen that says join Xbox gold! So then I reapply my card information thinking it didn’t go through the first time but it ended up charging my
card twice! I’m just trying to play fort nite but I can cuz apparently I don’t have Xbox live gold. It says I have the membership when I go to my account settings but it won’t register to my games.

You know what is also cool....and I just found out the family plan is gone..and we will have basically 5 gold accounts per $60 yearly sub...which beats my current 4 gamer tags per $100 yearly plan

Runtime Error trying to open Account page. Not able to manage accounts, promote child accounts, associate child accounts to a parent account.

Never once used a Family Live Gold plan on my account, just the regular yearly Xbox Gold subscription so that has nothing to do with the issues I posted in

Hi there,

please double check http://account.microsoft.com/services to see if the subscription is showing there.

If the subscription shows, try the following steps

Remove profile from the console (Make sure you know the account credentials for the account, since you will need them later)

Perform the manual power cycle steps like mentioned on the following link, be sure to wait at least 60 seconds before powering on again:
Restart or Power Cycle Xbox One Console

Redownload your profile

If these steps fail, then its best to contact Xbox Support (via Phone or Microsoft Support Chat) at

just to quickly ask sorry if i was to just need to buy my subscription again would i have no way to go back to the old yearly plan for gold and would i have to look into the game pass core subscription? also because i can only see a 3 month deal and no yearly deal like on xbox live gold

Hello Colin,

The Xbox Live Gold plan was discontinued, the new Game Pass Core is essentially the same plan but with improvements.

Microsoft is offering 1-month and 3-month plans, currently, there is no yearly plan available.
