Just noticed red led's aren't flashing on controller anymore.

Anyone know if this has anything to do with Kinect using less resources or because now the XBOX One is now sold without Kinect?

My red lights aren't flashing even though kinect is on. Is my controller broken? I noticed the problem while playing battlefield 4 when my motion tracking and leaning stopped working. Kinect hasn't been moved or anything. I have no idea what the problem
is. Does anybody else?

 

Controller disconnection issues (my case)

Something strange I've noticed today - those red flashing lights which are placed in front of the controller (where the micro usb connector is placed) - with my previous consoles those lights was flashing always when the controller was not pointed directly
into Kinect.

With this one I have now those light almost never flashes.

How these lights should behave?

 

I think it may have been part of a recent controller update. I'm sure it still works, it's probably just less visible.

 

Was there another controller update included with the June update? If so, I didnt hook up my controller for it.

 

There are red lights on the controller? Never notice that.

 

I have never seen any red lights on the controller.

 

@Canadian, you should pay more attention even my non gaming wife noticed the flashing lights.

@24hours2livex, my controller is working fine as far as I can tell.

 

Technically, they're not really red - it's infrared. They're located on the top of your controller next to where you would plug in the play and charge cable (micro USB cable). You can't see them unless they're flashing (which they no longer are apparently)
or unless you record it them on camera (where they will appear purple, not red). If you look on your Kinect sensor it has the same thing, which as of now (on mine anyways) is still visible - you should see 3 red/purplish lights directly in the center of the
sensor (which is easier to see in the dark). The idea is for the infrared lights to help with communication between the console, the sensor, and the controller. This is how it's supposed to know who's got which controller, among other things.

Well, my controller still appears to be working just fine, but it doesn't appear to be flashing anymore either, just like that "warrior" guy over there...

...and I know for a fact that I updated my controller post-June update (I was trying to get the stupid stereo headset adapter to work, which requires an update - it didn't work by the way).
