Just had a big scare :/

Woke up this morning and my XBOX ONE power brick Had no light on it and my console wouldn't work.Pulled the wire out of the brick put it back in still wouldn't work.repeated the process gave it a good blow and thank god it turned on

Felt lost for a min thinking i could lose my beloved XBOX ONE lol

Anyone have any ideas why this went off

SCAR H in beta was terribad. Needs a big buff. But BF3 SCAR was same after big patch.

You said you pulled the wire out of brick, have you checked the actual plug and it's sitting properly in the power socket ( wall/extension cable etc ) ?

Also, you checked that the power lead is plugged firmly into the actual console and not come loose?

 

Everything was connected like it should mate never had this issue before just woke up turned xbox one and nothing would work.

Everything is now so maybe the new update might of turned the whole thing off

 

You should stop "blowing" your Xbox. I think it's against the Tos.

 

lol i think it could of had some dust in the power brick after i gave it a good blow it worked lols

 

I just powered on my console with, "Xbox, On" and I have 1406 already installed (it was 1405 yesterday). Didn't need to use the controller or fiddle with the PSU.

Definitely worth reporting in the 1406 feedback forum.

 

The important thing is that it turned on! Otherwise, if you are anything like me, you would still be sat there looking at it with a vacant expression. lol.

No idea what could of caused it though. Hope it doesn't happen again mate.

Same happened to me a while back, but noticed an oven timer had reset so knew it was a brown out/electrical surge. Then read that the power pack had built in surge protection to protect the console, and requires the power to be disconnected for 10 plus seconds
to reset properly.

 

Well I am happy its back to normal for you guys my bruddehs! nothing worse then having that split second 'noooooooo' moment. Time seems to freeze.
