Just got Rocket League for free after downloading Battlefield 1 update?

I just downloaded the latest BF1 update which was around 2 gb. I now have access to Rocket League. If I go to the game hub it still says I haven't bought it and I can still get it for 19.99. But The game is totally playable both on and offline. I also don't
have EA access, or any other accounts tied to my Xbox One. Went into my purchases and its not there so no one got ahold of my account.

Just trying to figure out whats going on.

Through sunday download rocket league for free on xbox one! I was surprised when it let me download. Didnt see this one coming! Gotta love the free play days! And dont forget as an xbox live gold member, all next week play every vault game from ea access for free! Just download the app!

Rocket League is free to play with gold for this weekend. You can play the game for free yet by the end of the weekend if you want to continue to play you will have to purchase Rocket League.

Rocket League is going free to play on all platforms...

Does this mean when Rocket League is removed from the game pass, I will have my xbox rocket league account the same, or will i need to reinstall it...

And if it is free to play can my friends who dont have rocket league start to play it by downloading it on the MS store?

Epic is having server issues that is where your downloading rocket league from, the new update has caused major issues and as you have to now use an epic id to use rocket league they are having issues with logging in too.

it is the same on ps4 and pc.
