Just got my Xbox Gaming Hard Drive Hub from Seagate, plugged it in and now My Xbox turns...

Just got my Xbox Gaming Hard Drive Hub from Seagate, plugged it in and now My Xbox turns off everytime it remains connected, it seems that others are having issues with this, so I decided to update my console and see if that works. If you have any suggestions can you please put them here?

So my hard drive is not having any issues, the only thing I am against with Xbox is how you have to format the xbox and choose between only being able to store only media or only videogames. That is just stupid, Xbox 360's wouldn't do that.

I'm having the same issue with my seagate 4tb external hard drive iv helad the hard drive for like 6 months it worked fine never had an issue until today I got a new xbox one x plugging the hard drive in ran it for 3 days left my console on over night
to download a game and now its unrecognized and I was using it last night

"When it is connected and we turn on the Xbox 360, the Xbox logo appears and then it just gets stuck on that screen. If we power off the Xbox 360 and turn it back on, it boots fine. If the Seagate hard drive is disconnected, the Xbox 360 turns on with
no problem, and once we connected the Seagate hard drive afterwards, everything works fine. It's just that first boot that doesn't work with the Xbox 360. It's rather annoying to have to either unplug the hard drive and reconnect it every time we want to
use the Xbox 360 or to have to turn the Xbox 360 on twice every time."

I can relate to the other side of CollapseControl's setup. I have a 3TB Seagate hard drive always plugged into my Xbox since the update. Everything runs just as quick and smooth as before with the internal hard drive. I can also hear the Seagate power down
when the Xbox does so its not constantly running.

Just recently bought the Seagate 5TB expansion external hard drive, already got game downloading onto it, But from what I am understanding the drive will always stay on at all times. is that good or bad for the hard drive or does it power down when the Xbox
is turned off?

Last thing I want to do is burn it out or break it.
