Just got an Xbox One today

Welcome to the Xbox camp! If you want a visual treat with a thrilling single player, can't go wrong with Ryse. Critics hypocritically tore it apart, but it's stunning to look at, and with a pal you'll have awesome time playing in the Multiplayer arena.

For more conventional and mainstream action you can go with Battlefield, Forza 5, Call of Duty... The list goes on. It's been a dry spell for new games since launch, but as you are aware Titanfall is just around the corner.

Ac4 is brilliant as is Dead rising 3. I did didn't like the other dead rising games but 3 was so much fun. Loved the ryse campaign but didn't go near it again after I completed it. Bf4 is a great online game with with friends.

 

@igneuss I just thought garbage was a bit rough it's still a graphically impressive game AA doesn't bother me much. Screen tear though makes me mad! AC4 is a fun game aswell most enjoyable AC I've played. Still sailing around trying to 100% it. Your right
though Titanfall will be a success.

btw on AC I think I stopped at like 90-something% I just have a compulsive habit of buying new games. After owning several titles across all platforms it becomes taxing on one's checkbook heh. Luckily though all of my console games can be redeemed for in-store
credit @ G2k & Gamestop.

I also just started my gamefly sub so I'm going to start renting the single-player games instead of buying them because it's just a waste of coin. For instance I know Lloyd likes to brag about The Order & Infamous on the ps4, but I won't be purchasing either
of those - rentals for me. I mean most of the upcoming games I want for that console are going to be single-player; that may be the one thing that hurts Sony in the long run.

But then you talk about TitanFall I'll be buying that bad boy for PC and X1 lol.

To the OP enjoy your new Xbox. You really can't wrong with anything you buy/rent - I mean that's the truth. Out of all the games I've played, I have yet to find one that wasn't playable on the Xbox.

My shift ends in about 20 minutes time to head home (yea I had it made tonight @ work, posting on xbox forums not doing anything productive just waiting for a tech ticket lol).

Does anyone know how long we have to bask in Titanfall? I want to squeeze every drop out of the beta.

 

If you like hack and slash games, I really suggest Ryse. I think a lot of the bad reviews were from people who don't really like hack and slash games. Also, I could see how they said it got repetitive. You could do the same moves over and over again on the
easier levels. Its the harder level that it loses that repetitive feel. On harder modes it is important to block and attack perfectly or it becomes really difficult.

 

Battlefield is the bees knees, AC4 is alright. The story is kinda meh. Also if you wanna play AC4 multiplayer with your friends, its not going to happen, fiddled with trying to play with a party for a half hour last night. It was the last straw for me. I'll
take it as a sign to trade it in and get TFall cheaper ;]

 

The 3 launch exclusives all worth one's time though my favorite was Dead Rising 3. The amount of zombies on screen at once towards the end of the game at evening is something that should be experienced.

 

You purchased it for titanfall solely so stick with that because if you were going to play any other game you would have gotten the One months go . What do you like about Titanfall?

 

A tougher question would be 'what don't you like about Titanfall?'

 

If you like racing, Forza... I didn't care very much for Need for Speed. It just wasn't fun for me to try and bump other cars off the road.

I didn't think Ryse would be much fun, but it ended up being a great little game. Only took me about 10 hours to beat, but it was fun enough where I plan on playing through it again. Have not tried multiplayer.

Assassins Creed 4 is great. I had never played an AC game before. At first, it was frustrating as I kept running up walls I didn't want to, but now that I am better understanding how the controls work, I find it much more enjoyable.

I didn't care for Dead Rising, zombies just ain't my thing. Never could figure how how to kill that first boss either. I just raged quit and never tried again. But, the game really looked good. If you like zombie killing this one would fit the bill.
Pretty scary seeing so many zombies on the screen at once.

NBA2k14 was great while the game wasn't having server issues. But, between the server issues and not earning enough VC (experience) during gameplay to truly level up your player in my career without spending additional money or betting on team wins in the
app, I asked Microsoft for a refund stating the game was unplayable, and they granted my request. Don't know if any of the issues were fixed.

After only just getting Ryse yesterday and playing about 50% of the game on Centurian difficulty I would recommend it. Looks beautiful and on higher difficulty the combat more addictive than repetitive as you block and set the kills up better going for that
legendary execution.
